Rest & Replenish 2.0 = REJECT AND REBUILD
It’s been a WILD season of both for me, with great discomfort sprinkled on top.
WILD SEASONS
Hey family! It’s ME! I know I’m coming from a different angle than what you initially signed up for but I’m bumping, Rest and Replenish, to Substack, and the 2.0 is:
Reject and Rebuild!
It’s been a WILD season of both rejecting empty promises and rebuilding trust with God for me, with great discomfort and discontent sprinkled on top. Transitioning into mamahood for the first time while renovating a home from the studs up not only led me down a path of trading in my peace and contentment, but also exposed many (too many!) idols. I’ve had to reject A LOTTT of empty promises, pout and grumble through disappointments, and come into prayer with anger and hate in my heart IN ORDER TO slowly (turtle emoji) rebuild trust with Jesus. I got to a point where I doubted my own salvation. Can anyone else relate?
It’s been U-G-L-Y!
Why this?
While it’s been ugly, it’s also been sanctifying. Through personal narrative, biblical wisdom, and a little sass— my hope is to remind readers that God’s container is big enough to hold the ugly, messy, improper, unfinished, and unprocessed US. Even if He is who we are angry and disappointed with, give it to Him straight! He can hold you. We are NEVER too far gone for Him no matter how long that door of faith has been shut. Even if you’re pissed and cannot stand the thought that God is sovereign and good, it does not change that He is still sovereign and good (lol!). PRAISE!!! Our feelings FEEL big, but they’re no match for who God is, amen?
Through personal experience in the world and in Christ, I’m giving a clarion call here that the promises of the world lead to pain and death, but God restores what the locusts have eaten, transforming us through patient healing, a redeemed identity, and a renewed trust in Him, AMEN?!
The season you’re in WILL change.
2. What kind of space will this be?
I want to walk with you through your disappointment and fears that God holds out on you or does not give you his ABSOLUTE best. It might seem like you often get the short end of the stick, but I hope to speak out against the many misconceptions about the Lord. In doing that, may you embrace a deep and unshakeable trust that His goodness is offered freely as we learn to surrender to His plan and purpose.
Reject and Rebuild urges you to trade in broken definitions of God in exchange for deep and unshakeable trust in who He is and who He made you to be.
3. Specifically…
With a new post every Thursday of refreshing transparency and biblical groundedness, I encourages you guys to pursue truth in the face of a culture that often (if not, always) contradicts it or does its best to imitate it.
For those who desire deeper trust in the one who relentlessly pursues us, I invite YOU to begin discerning the ways you’ve likely been deceived yourselves.
5. Will you stay and hang with me?

I LOVE this. I have experienced a lot of the same thing- the anger, getting brutally honest with God and doubting my salvation, and He has now brought me out on the other side where I'm currently reconstructing my faith. This is a lot of the same message that I write about. Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to reading more of your newsletters!
